Comments : We have been the proud owners of four Airedales since 1975. Wonderful dogs. Our current boy is Charlie Brown a 3 year old Queensland dog and a great one! (I'm only a little biased.) Recently I have started making small sculptures of Airedales and other puppies. Some are in brilliant white porcelain in very recognisable Airedale poses and others are of pottery in natural Airedale colouring. Comments : I grew up with an Airedale Terrier and believe they are the most loyal companion anyone could ever have.
I am looking at buying myself an Airedale puppy to be a loved family pet (not for show) and have found it disappointing that from the many breeders I have contacted, few have actually given any response.
What I also have found disappointing is the price of Airedales in Australia. I have inquired at an American breeder and can have a Airedale purchased and shipped to Australia for less than most breeders in Australia charge for the dog alone. However this is a road I'd prefer not to take for the welfare of the puppy.
I would be most grateful if anyone knew of any litters due soon, where the pups are of reasonable price to contact me, all I am seeking is a companion for my partner and I, not a champion show dog, which seems dauntingly hard to find.
On a positive note, I've found this website to be extremely helpful and informative and would like to congratulate everyone on their success in breeding and showing Airedales.
